Barca Velha

Since it was first produced in 1952, Barca Velha became Portugal’s most distinguished and sought-after wine. The 2011 vintage is a blend of 45% Touriga Franca, 35% Touriga Nacional, 10% Tinta Roriz and 10% Tinto Cão. The nose is filled with ripe red and black fruits, followed by spicy notes of pepper, cedar, tobacco and a hint of minerality. Firm but velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity carry complex flavours onto a harmonious finish.
